In the heart of the Lake District National Park, Keswick is a small market town that sits on the edge of the large Derwentwater Lake, often referred to as the Queen of Lakes.

In this beautiful part of the UK, the city is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway.

Surrounded by many small villages, in the town of Keswick itself you will find unique shops and art galleries. Pick up local paintings or handmade jewelry to remember your stay in this beautiful part of the lakes.

Of course, you will need to visit at least one lake during your stay. Derwentwater is a 10-minute walk from the center of town and you can cycle through the impressive landscapes.

How to get there

Keswick takes just over five hours by car from London, up the M6 ​​and into the Lake District.

Or take the Euston train to Penrith and board a 40 minute bus to Keswick.
