Community Bank Promotes Alexis Hobart to Vice President/District Manager | Briefs

WATERLOO—Community Bank is pleased to announce that Alexis Hobart has been promoted to Vice President/District Manager at the Waterloo branch. In his new role, Hobart will manage the Waterloo office’s eight employees and its mortgage volume, and oversee branches in Geneva, Ovid, Phelps and Seneca Falls.

Hobart has 31 years of experience in the banking industry, particularly in personal and business lending. She joined the Community Bank team as a cashier in 1995 when it acquired Chase Bank. She then held the positions of Customer Service Representative, Branch Assistant, Retail Services Manager, Retail Services Manager II and Vice President/Branch Manager III.

“We are thrilled to have Alexis in this new role,” said regional manager Jody Tonkery. “This promotion is well deserved. Alexis is a vital part of our team and her long history with the bank and industry experience has set her on the path to success.

Hobart is a graduate of Waterloo High School and earned her associate’s degree in travel and tourism from Herkimer County Community College. She is a member of the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce, the Village of Waterloo Micro-Business Assistance Program, the Waterloo Economic Development Committee, and the Kiwanis Club of Waterloo-Seneca Falls.

She lives with her husband, Brian, and has son Blake Spina (21) and stepson Bowen Hobart (23).
